23 Feb 1998: Loss to Norths in Country Carnival

Manly have begun the Country Carnival with a 18-14 loss to North Sydney at Wyong. Craig Field and Craig Hancock were both injured and did not play. This Saturday the Eagles head up to Narrabri to take on Parramatta.

16 Feb 1998: Win over Mudgee

Manly have begun the pre-season with a win, defeating Mudgee 54-6. New props Danny Costello and Adam Peters played in the game, as did returning centre Jamie Olejnik and new winger Luke Phillips.

18 Jan 1998: NRLC draw out

The 1998 draw for the National Rugby League Championship is now out. Manly begin their campaign as they did 10 years ago, with a tough assignment against the Brisbane Broncos at ANZ Stadium. Our first home game is in round two against Adelaide, while we face the Newcastle Knights in round nine. A full list of Manly's matches is here.
