I am an experimental cosmologist, I study cosmic backgrounds to better understand the infant Universe and the nature of Dark Energy. In graduate school I worked on the 40GHz receiver for QUIET to probe the earliest period of expansion in the Universe, known as inflation, using sensitive maps of the polarized Cosmic Microwave Background. I am currently a collaborator on ACTPol, which will probe the early Universe at high angular resolution also through the polarized CMB. I am also a collaborator on CHIME as a fellow at the Dunlap Institute, which will measure the expansion of the Universe through the past ~8 billion years, to better understand Dark Energy.
